Based on a complaint made by a resident in Minneriya, Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption arrested the Summons Server/Writ Executor of Hingurakgoda District/Magistrate’s Court at around 11.20 a.m. on 03.07.2024. According to the complainant, the suspect has solicited Rs. 25,000/- to make the necessary arrangements to postpone a case scheduled for hearing on 31.07.2024 by two years. The solicited amount was later reduced to Rs. 20,000/- and, was arrested inside the Panchkarama Treatment Hospital, Minneriya.
