Withana Pelpita Koralalage Anusha Pelpita, former Director-General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, was arrested by the Commission in connection with an ongoing investigation.
Following investigations into assets accumulated by the suspect during a specified period, Investigation Officers of the Commission arrested him on 23 January 2026 on allegations of amassing assets and property disproportionately to his income during that period.
