Based on a complaint made by a resident in Pinnawala, Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption arrested an officer of the Sabaragamuwa Road Passenger Transport Board at 10.10 a.m. on 22.08.2024 on allegations of soliciting and accepting Rs. 60,000/- for giving the recommendation to change a time slot allocated to run the complainant’s bus on the Balangoda route. The arrest was made inside the Balangoda Bus Station office.
