A Management Assistant officer of Road Passengers Transport Authority of Sabaragamuwa Province arrested when receiving a bribe from a Bus Driver

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Management Assistant officer of Road Passengers Transport Authority on 14.12.2020 on a complaint lodged to the hotline 1954 by a Bus Driver in Godakawela area on alleged soliciting and receiving of bribe. The arrest was taken place in the bus-stand adjoining the Department of Agricultural Export when receiving a bribe of Rs.100,000/- of the total solicited amount of Rs.250,000/- to issue a route permit for a bus owned by a sister of the complainant bus driver.
