The Judge of the Puttalam Quazi Court was arrested by the Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption at around 2.30 p.m. on 23.04.2024. The judge was arrested based on a complaint made by a female resident of Vettalai, Puttalam. The suspect has solicited and accepted Rs. 5,000/- as a bribe to issue the divorce certificate of the divorce judgement issued by the Quazi Court. The arrest was made inside the Quazi Court, Puttalam.
