The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption conducted a Corruption Prevention Programme for officers of the Ceylon Electricity Board on 29th April 2025. The programme was held at the CEB’s Awissawella Regional Office, with approximately 80 officers in attendance, including the Electrical Engineer of the Regional Office.

Prevention Officers of the Commission, Mrs. N. D. N. C. Jayasinghe and Mr. Sampath Arachchige, provided attendees with valuable insights on the New Anti-Corruption Act, the concept of integrity, and the prevention of bribery and corruption. They also informed participants about the consequences of bribery and corruption. Before concluding the programme, the resource persons addressed questions that attendees had regarding bribery and corruption.
