The Investigation Officers of the Commission arrested a Sergeant of the Hatton Police Station on allegations of soliciting and accepting a bribe. According to the complainant, the Sergeant has initially demanded a bribe of Rs. 20,000 and reduced it to Rs. 15,000/- to get the complainant and his wife acquitted of the case pending against them at the Hatton Magistrate’s Court. The arrest was made at the Hatton Magistrate’s Court around 11.00 a.m. on 11th March 2025 while accepting the Rs. 15,000/-.
