The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption Received Third Place

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has received the third place among 838 institutions under the Government Special Expenditure Unit examined by the Committee on Public Accounts considering the splendid utilization of government funds.


By obtaining 100% marks Prime Minister’s Office has secured the first place of this event, while the Auditor General’s Department and The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption secured second and third places respectively.
Government Special Expenditure Units such as Ministries, Departments, District Secretariats, Provincial Councils and Local Government Authorities has been evaluated and among them 109 institutions has received special appraisal.
The Ministry of Mega Polis and Western Development, Department of Treasury Operations and The District Secretariat, Gampaha have secured the first palaces among Ministries, Departments and District Secretariats respectively.
The Award ceremony will be held on today (July 5th 2019) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall with the presence of His Excellency President Maithripala Sirisena.
The Director General Mr. Sarath Jayamanne, PC of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption will attend the ceremony.
