The Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption had arrested a Sub Police Inspector who acted as the Officer in Charge of the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Ipalogama Police Station and a Police Constable on an allegation of soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000/= on 08.12.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Bribery Commission.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Sub Police Inspector who serves at Police Divisional Head Quarters, Gampaha on alleged soliciting of Rs. 5,000/- and accepting a bribe of Rs. 4000/= on 17.11.2022 in accordance with a complaint received to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Police Constable who serves at Police Station-Diyabeduma, Polonnaruwa on an allegation of soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 4000/= on 09.11.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a former Agriculture Research and Production Assistant who currently serves as the Chairperson of D-43, Sonuththa farmers’ Organization on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 60,000/= on 25.10.2022 in accordance with a complaint received to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a land officer of Yaya 10,11,12 office assigned to Rajanganaya Divisional Secretariat on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000/= on 05.10.2022 in accordance with a complaint received to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested the Grama Niladhari of No:333, Kusumpura Grama Niladhari division who has been assigned to Divisional Secretariat, Nochchiyagama on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000/= on 22.09.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested an excise officer who serves at Padukka  Excise Station , Galagedara on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000/= on 16.09.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a police sergeant who has been appointed to and serves Police Station, Kadawata on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000/= on 12.09.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Court Management Assistant   who serves the District Court of Gampaha on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000/= on 09.09.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested the United Sri Lanka District Organizer of Jaffna who is engaged in politics and a Justice of Peace (all island) on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000/= on 06.09.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Grama Niladhari of Kandewatta Division (Acting Grama Niladhari of Piyadigama Division) Galle, while soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000/= on 02.09.2022 in order to issue wooden logs transportation permits to the complainant.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested the Manager at Batticaloa Depot of Sri Lanka Transport Board on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 75,000/= on 28.07.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
