The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has served an indictment at the High Court, Colombo today, against Piyath Bandu Wikrama Muni, former Chairman, R.B. Sanjaya Kumara, former Container Operation Machine Equipment Operator, and R.C.W.M. Nihal Keppetipola, former Managing Director of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.

On a complaint made by a person in Avissawella, Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption have arrested the Acting Secretary and Revenue Inspector of Avissawella Urban Council on 23.06.2023.

On a complaint made by a driver of the SLTB Panadura Depot, Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption arrested the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Regional Manager of Kalutara for soliciting and accepting a bribe.

On a complaint made by a conductor of the Potuvil SLTB Depot, General Secretary of the All Ceylon Motor Workers’ Union (Senior Deopt Inspector) was arrested by the Investigation Officers of CIABOC on 12.06.2023 for soliciting and accepting a bribe.

On a complaint made by a person in Ambalanthota, Beragama area, Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption arrested the Secretary of Sooriyawewa Pradeshiya Sabha on 07.06.2023.

On a complaint made by a person in Alawathugoda area, two officers of the Alawathugoda Agrarian Services Center were arrested on 05.06.2023 by the Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

On a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, an Inspector of Police assigned to the Police Station, Sapugaskanda was arrested on 02.06.2023 by the Investigation Officers of CIABOC for an alleged solicitation and acceptance of a bribe of Rs.100,000.

On a complaint received, the Investigation Officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, on 23.03.2023 arrested the Grama Niladhari of Borella South Grama Niladhari Division attached to Thibirigasyaya Divisional Secretariat on an alleged solicitation and acceptance of a bribe of Rs.50,000/-.

On a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, the Investigation Officers of CIABOC arrested a broker residing in Nuwara Eliya on 20.03.2023 on an alleged solicitation and acceptance of a bribe of Rs. 5000/-.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC, on 08.03.2023, arrested the Officer in Charge of the Kalmunai Bus Stand which belongs to the Eastern Provincial Road Passenger Transport Authority on an alleged solicitation and acceptance of a bribe of Rs.200/- as per a complaint received by it.

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Pharmacist serves at the Apeksha  Hospital, Maharagama on an alleged solicitation and acceptance of a bribe of Rs. 21,000/- on 15.02.2023 in accordance with a complaint received to CIABOC.

The Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Primary Semi-Technical Officer serves at the Department of Buildings on an allege acceptance of a bribe of Rs.22,000/- and an Office Assistant serves at the Department of Immigration and Emigration, a Lottery Seller and an Airtel Sim Seller for aiding and abetting to the above acceptance of bribe on 16.02.2023 in accordance with a complaint received to CIABOC.
