2 years imprisonment for a Watcher attached to the Zonal Education Office – Kegalle.

The Investigation Officers of the Raid Unit of CIABOC carried out a successful detection on 16^th August 2016 and apprehended the suspects for soliciting and accepting a gratification of Rs.150,000.00 from the complainant to CIABOC to help out the latter to submit a new building plan and thereby avoid paying the fine imposed for the earlier building plan which had not been properly approved.

The Investigation Officers of the Raid Unit of CIABOC successfully carried out a detection on the 15^th of July 2016 and apprehended the suspect whist accepting a gratification of Rs.2750 from complainant to CIABOC, (the dancing teacher who had gone on transfer to a new school), to sign official letters for her to be submitted to the principal of the new school.

The Investigation Officers of the Raid Unit of CIABOC carried out a successful detection on the 15^th July 2016 and apprehended the suspect whilst accepting a gratification of Rs.4500 from the complainant to CIABOC to reduce the maintenance amount payable by him in the maintenance case filed against him in the DC/MC Puttalam.

The Investigation Officers of the Raid Unit of CIABOC carried out a successful detection on the 14^th of July 2016 and apprehended suspects, for soliciting and accepting a sum of Rs.50,000 from complainant to CIABOC to allow the complainant to enter the conservation area of the Forest Department to collect sand and pebbles.

The Investigation Officers of the Raid Unit of CIABOC carried out a successful detection on 5^th July,2016 and apprehended the suspect whilst accepting a gratification of Rs.5000 from the complainant to CIABOC to refrain from taking complainant into custody for having Kerala -Cannabis in his possession.

On 21^st June, the CIABOC arrested an office assistant for accepting a sum of Rs.7500 in exchange for a new driving license.

On 20^th June, the CIABOC apprehended the Officer in Charge of SCIU Mount Lavinia for soliciting a sum of Rs.100,000 and accepting a sum of Rs.25,000 to represent facts favorable to the complainant in the Courts.

On 2^nd June, the CIABOC apprehended a Senior Assessor for accepting a sum of Rs.10,000 in exchange for an assessment.

On 31^th May, the CIABOC apprehended a Grama Niladhari of No 103, Maavi Kumbura North GN Division for accepting a sum of Rs.15,000 in order to issue a recommendation letter.

On 26^th May, the CIABOC apprehended a Technical Officer of the Regional Engineer’s Office, Thavalama for accepting a sum of Rs.75,000 to prepare a payment bill for a road repair contract on behalf of the complainant.

On 30^th April, the CIABOC arrested a Forest Officer for accepting a sum of Rs.12,000 to refrain from taking legal action against the complainant.
