A Court Management Assistant arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000/=

The Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested a Court Management Assistant who serves the District Court of Gampaha on alleged soliciting and accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000/= on 09.09.2022 in accordance with a complaint received by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The suspect was thus arrested at the premises of Agrarian Services Centre, Bogamuwa, Aluthgama when he had solicited and accepted Rs.20,000/= as a bribe in order to execute a writ issued by the District Court of Gampaha.
