The acting OIC of Fire Brigade of Anuradhapura Municipal Council arrested for receiving a bribe of Rs.29,000/-

On a complaint received from a resident of Anuradhapura, Godage Mawatha, the Investigation Officers of CIABOC have arrested acting OIC of Fire Fighting Unit of Anuradhapura Municipal Council on 28.12.2020 when receiving a bribe of Rs.29,000/-.

The complainant is carrying out a firefighting equipment repairing shop under his wife’s name. The Suspect had solicited a bribe of Rs.29,000/- from the complainant to continue the workshop undisturbedly and to provide authorized seal for the equipment repaired by the complainant belonged to “Miridiya Lake” Hotel in Anurashapura.
