The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) conducted an awareness session on June 9, 2025, at the Airport & Aviation Services main auditorium in Katunayake, focused on preventing bribery and corruption in specialized operating areas within the Civil Aviation Authority.

Senior officials from the Airport & Aviation Services participated in the session and actively contributed by identifying suggestions and highlighting loopholes in the existing system. During the discussion phase, participants recognized systemic vulnerabilities stemming from outdated regulations and traditional practices that require examination and research-based recommendations.

The session also included detailed discussions on new draft asset declaration forms and their completion procedures.

The awareness program was facilitated by CIABOC Corruption Prevention Officers Chamodi Jayasinghe and Shilamega Welithotage.
