On 04/09/2012, the Grama Niladhari – Rathnapura West Division was taken in to custody by the Investigation Officers of the Bribery Commission, for soliciting Rs.5000/= from the complainant in order to do the necessary to confirm the residence of the complainant and while accepting same through a businessman.

On 01/09/2012, The Chairman of the Public Transport Authority – Central Province was taken in to custody by the Investigation Officers of the Bribery Commission for soliciting Rs.200,000/= and accepting Rs.150,000/=  from the complainant to do the necessary to allocate one trip  for the bus no.NB -3010, out of the three trips allocated for bus no.ND- 6134 plying between Kandy & Udahena. Both buses belonged to the complainant.

On 12/07/2012 an Investigation Officer attached to District Consumer Affairs Authority, District Secretariat Anuradhapura was taken into custody by the Investigation Officers of the Bribery Commission for soliciting and accepting Rs.150,000/- from the complainant in order to refrain from taking action against altering the affixed price of a bulb into a higher price, distributed in the market  under the brand name Phillips and to recommence distributing same.

On 11/07/2012 a Wildlife Guard and a Civil Security soldier T 86571 (Wildlife Office Nuwaragala) were   taken   into   custody   by   the  Investigation   Officers   of   the   Bribery Commission for soliciting and accepting Rs.15,000/- in order to refrain from instituting action for trespassing Wildlife sanctuary.
