අල්ලස  දණ්ඩනීති සංග්‍රහය අනුව දඩුවම්   ලැබිය හැකි අපරාධ ගනයේ වරදක් ලෙස නීතිගතව ඇත්තේ වර්ෂ   1883 වැනි ඈතකදීය. අල්ලස් පනත - වර්ෂ  1954 දී නීතිගත විය. අංක  40 පනත යටතේ  1958 වර්ෂයේ අල්ලස් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව අධිකරණ අමාත්‍යාංශය යටතේ පිහිටුවන ලදී.
