On a concept of the Chairman of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, Justice D.J.De.Silva Balapatbendi the staff of CIABOC celebrated New Year, on the 2nd of January 2012 in a novel, & grand scale.  

Hon. Chairman Justice Jagath Balapatabendi and the Director General attended the Fourth IAACA Seminar held in Dalian China on 25th-28th June 2012. The Chairman made a speech on "Asset Recovery Law in Sri Lanka and Adoption,implementation of UNCAC provisions in Chapter -V". There were over 300 delegates attended the Seminar.

The 1^st of the several meetings funded by ADB scheduled in order to identify the amendments to the Bribery Act was held at the CIABOC auditorium on 08/02/2013 with the participation of the officers of the Attoney General's Dept. and the officers of CIABOC.

The chairman and two members for the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption were appointed with effect from May 16^th, 2011 for a term of five years.
