Piyasena Ranasinghe
Director General
I am very pleased to issue a message to our web-page at the time of its inauguration today.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), being the sole authority to combat such social evils, attempts its best to safeguard the rights of the people by eradicating bribery and corruption from the public service. Unquestionably a corruption-free public service is the major ingredient that ensures the emergence of good governance in a country.

It is truism that the public service of any country is infected with corruption to varying degrees-from negligible to the disastrous.

It is with positive interaction among all the components and elements of good governance that we can eradicate or rather minimize this social menace.

I welcome the whole-hearted support and encouragement from all concerned in Sri Lanka and from the well-wishers of the international community.
